Usually it is a 5 digit ID of numbers or numbers and letters. Each plant has it's own cage number for traceability purposes. Cage stands for Corporate and Government Entity number or something like that. Most partial manufacturers have an id formula which is molded in to each partial they have as well as sell. Usually it is the 5 series ID of numbers or numbers as well as letters. Each plant has it’s own enclosure series for traceability purposes.
