Usually I don't take it because if you use Amex or a platimun card, it usually covers the insurance for rentals. Also if you have regular car insurance it covers rental cars you hire. Like a alternative bard wrote, it was an option. Usually we do not take it since if we operate Amex or a platimun card, it customarily covers a word for rentals.
