What is a car partial that a delivery wire attaches to that connects to a delivery called?

I have a 1986 Oldsmobile Delta 88 which a delivery wire (from a steering column) keeps slipping off a delivery finish of a cable. we need to reinstate a rubber partial a wire attaches to, though do not know what it is called.
Not a change cable, though a partial a change wire attaches to upon a delivery finish of a change cable.

you have to reinstate a total wire in many cases as this grommet is frequency serviced separately, they customarily aren’t which costly though.
