Just go out and put some laps in, don't be too crazy trying to go fast your first time out. Just stay out of the other driver's way and get used to being out there. Pay attention to everything going on and watch what other drivers are doing. Rule # 1 - DO NOT HIT ANYTHING! Fixing damaged race cars is not fun and can get expensive. You don't learn anything but running into stuff. Rule # 2 - Slow in, Fast out. Get into the corners nice, smooth, and slow. Be the first one back on the throttle and be quick getting off the corner and down the straight.

What Jay said. Also you can talk to the other Drivers as to how things work, don't go out there expecting to win your first race as it will not happen.
The other drivers will give you loads of info and are mostly Friendly and you can follow them around for laps to see the lines they are running and the effects of the track on your car.
Good advice to try not to hit anything as that has a tendency to slow you down and not finish,
Talk to drivers they will be more than happy to give you advice as they are the ones you will be racing with and they don't want to take you out or have you take them out
Good luck with that and glad to see you as a Woman getting into the sport. there are a few women at my local tracks that do fairly well and you would be surprised at the support that they get from the other drivers and the Fans.
Have fun and learn and keep your composure and you will get the hang of it.
