When we get in cars like that, we want to get rid of them as quickly as possible. We have no use for them. We cannot resell them, we don't want the bother of taking them to auction, and they look bad sitting on our lot.

If you are looking to buy something like that, simply ask the dealer about the wholesale cars that they just want to get rid of. Explain to them what you are trying to accomplish, and they should be more than happy to work with you.

Ive never heard of that before. I agree with you, i cant see them paying for a car to be taken away if they could make a few quid from it. If it is true, ill be at the nearest dealers in the morning!

A lot of dealers collect "junk" which they've had to accept to get the sale and they don't want lowering the tone of the forecourt. Quite often it is cheaper for them to flog them off at a minimal price just to get rid of them and save the hassle of sending to an auction. Or they pass them down the food chain to the cheap end of the market. They've already allowed for that in calculating the deal. Have a look round the back to see what I mean. Just ask, there usually is a collection they're desperate to get rid of.

Most good dealers will not 'retail' cars that they take in part exchange on their own forecourts unless the condition, age and mileage of the car are exceptional for the age and they can get given it.

So what they do is either to send them to auction and take whatever they get for the cars as the stand.....

or sell them directly to a trader, someone comes around and buys everything they have taken in PX the good and the bad. They rarely loose money although they are usually GIVEN the cars! The screen forecourt price is over inflated to such a degree (on the car that you are buying) that they can knock massive amounts off and still be in profit eg: Car costs £500 displayed at £3000 your car worth £1000, they give you £1200 for yours in part exchange and you pay a 1800 balance; you think you have got £1200 for yours but all that has happened is they have knocked £1200 from the screen price of theirs so you bought a £500 car for £1800, and have GIVEN them your car. They then sell yours at auction for another grand and laugh all the way to the bank.

It is worth asking dealers for one of their PX cheapies sometimes, you'll buy it as seen, no warranty etc, but it should be cheap, some dealers will, some won't. Contray to your belief though, you WILL have to pay for it, even if oit is a complete pile of junk (which most are, why PX a good car?), you'll get a 'cheap' car or cars, but not I am afraid a free one!

And if you are ever buying....Ask the CASH price, the best price they can sell for FIRST, then bring you PX into the deal!

Most great dealers will not ‘retail’ cars that they take in partial sell upon their own forecourts unless a condition, age as well as mileage of a car have been well-developed for a age as well as they can get since it.

So what they do is possibly to send them to auction as well as take whatever they get for a cars as a stand…..

or sell them without delay to a trader, someone comes around as well as buys all they have taken in PX a great as well as a bad. They frequency lax income nonetheless they have been customarily GIVEN a cars! The shade forecourt cost is over arrogant to such a grade (on a car that we have been buying) that they can hit large amounts off as well as still be in distinction eg: Car costs £500 displayed during £3000 your car value £1000, they give we £1200 for yours in partial sell as well as we compensate a 1800 balance; we consider we have got £1200 for yours yet all that has happened is they have knocked £1200 from a shade cost of theirs so we paid for a £500 car for £1800, as well as have GIVEN them your car. They afterwards sell yours during auction for an additional grand as well as giggle all a approach to a bank.

It is value asking dealers for a single of their PX cheapies sometimes, you’ll buy it as seen, no guaranty etc, yet it should be cheap, a little dealers will, a little won’t. Contray to your idea though, we WILL have to compensate for it, even if oit is a finish raise of junk (which many are, because PX a great car?), you’ll get a ‘cheap’ car or cars, yet not we am fearful a giveaway one!

And if we have been ever buying….Ask a CASH price, a most appropriate cost they can sell for FIRST, afterwards move we PX in to a deal!
